A view from the outside

I have been a long time reader and an occasional commenter on many of the top cryptocurrency subs. Since I have learned of crypto currencies I have been very intrigued by the tech and the opportunity and have done my due diligence. Through several accounts, I have monitored these subs and done my own studying for the past few years (unfortunately only having money to actually invest anything for the past year or so). I view a world where we exchange Bitcoin, or something similar, as a cash for our day to day purchases, along with something like Ethereum as an incentivized internet building block, and I'm sure many smaller behind the scenes chains that are used to decentralize and secure many businesses and technologies.

I am not a fan boy of any crypto currencies, and I try to view everything I read from a non biased position. That said, at first by reading all of the misinformation at the time of the BCH fork I was almost convinced that it was nothing but a Roger Ver ploy to line the pockets of himself and his friends and BTC was the chain with the least potential for corruption and foul play by sheer size. As time went on, and my studies continued, I see Bitcoin Cash really adhering to Satoshis white paper and continuing the legacy of what Bitcoin was written to be. Bitcoin is really a very simple idea. Money that can be used by EVERYONE for ANYTHING, affordably, without being required to trust a third party, and free from being able to be manipulated. The rest, is just technical mumbo jumbo to the average Joe like myself. I like to think of myself as slightly more educated than the average potential end user of these systems, but it really all boils down to 3 things of importance to be used by the masses. Cost, Ease of use, and Security. I am now fully convinced of Blockstreams take over of the Bitcoin name, and the BCH supporters and devs good intentions of following Satoshis whitepaper.

The point I would like to make is that, although I'm sure it feels necessary to some of you guys to bring Blockstreams foul play to attention to the masses in favor of BCH acceptance, it may not be having the effect that you are aiming for. From an outsiders point of view, a lot of the arguing back and forth, the negativity, and the name calling really makes the whole program lose credibility. Even if everything said is completely true, when reading posts under the context of a war being waged between BCH and BTC it makes the outsider less likely to trust what is actually being portrayed, well because during times of war and despair lies and propaganda are spread like wild fire. I think it would be beneficial for the BCH community to focus ENTIRELY on positivity, and the close relationship between BCH and Satoshis whitepaper for Bitcoin. I believe that newcomers to crypto could appreciate the fact that BCH exists only to conform to the whitepaper and function as an electronic cash system without all the drama added.

My reason for passing my opinion, ( if anyone even cares for my opinion 😁) is that I would very much like to see Satoshis vision carry on into a main stream electronic cash system used by the masses, and I believe that the direction BTC has strayed so far off of the path of the white paper that it could end up damaging crypto currencies as a whole, which could very well be the master plan for the demise of crypto.

I wish BCH the best and hope at least someone may appreciate my two cents on the matter.

EDIT: Posted from mobile and looked like a giant run on paragraph.
