Today I upgraded my offline wallet system to include an offline SLP wallet. However I have to use a workaround and I am wondering about how risky this is.

Electron Cash allows you to create a wallet on a offline computer and then copy the master public key to a thumb drive and import it on a online computer. This will create a watch wallet on your online computer. From there you can make transactions but you can't sign them. After copying an unsigned transaction to your offline computer, you can sign it there, copy the signed transaction back to your online computer and broadcast.

This protects against viruses and is what we call an airgapped computer.

Anyway, I am just typing all of this in for new people.

Now on to my question. Today I tried to set up a similar system for SLP tokens. However I ran in to a problem. You can create a unsigned transaction on your SLP watch wallet on your online computer. You can also load this unsinged transaction on your SLP wallet on your offline computer.

But you can not sign it there because the wallet will say "Can not download transaction"

The workaround is to do this:

Go to your offline computer and open your SLP wallet. Copy the seed to a txt file and also the SLP derivation path. When you click file - new/restore this will show you the SLP derivation path. Copy this path in to the same txt file.

Now close your SLP wallet and open your normal EC wallet. Create new wallet there using a seed but then click on "I already have a seed" now paste in the seed and do options "BIP39" seed.

Now copy in the derivation path from the txt file.

Now you can use this wallet to load in unsinged transaction from your online SLP wallet.

My question is, how risky is? What can all go wrong? As far as I know when I create a SLP transaction from my online SLP watch wallet, all the checks are done there. The offline normal EC wallet just signs it exactly the same as the online SLP would have done (it it were not a watch wallet).
