u/BitcoinXio banned u/ShredTheFed for opposing the implementation of his new spam bot that spams people with a message for saying "bcash". All he did was voice is opinion, and I guess this was enough to ban him permanently for his views.

u/ShredTheFed was expressing his opinion that this new "bcash bot" is spamming up r/btc. To demonstrate his thoughts and feelings, he put bcash in a handful of his comments, to demonstrate how annoying it is. Instead of aknowledging his point that the bot is creating spam, u/BitcoinXio decided to say he was spamming, and permanently banned him. One less opposing voice for BitcoinXio to deal with.

Instead of fixing the bot spam, or even going light on the guy and temp banning him, u/BitcoinXio decided it was appropriate to PERMANENTLY BAN him for this interaction. How would you feel if you were banned PERMANENTLY in an "uncensored" subreddit over a small disagreement you had on a bad day? Now this individual cannot social network with anyone here, or use his free speech. Hes been cast out of the great city of Bitcoin Cash, and i bet he feels sad about it. He definitely won't recommend anyone else to come here.

u/ShredTheFed was a fine fellow, in my honest opinion. He was actually anti-IFP, and had very moderate views for a BCH supporter. In fact, in the above image, he even attacks my character. I of course forgive him of this though, since he has become a victim of u/BitcoinXio's tyrannical and dictatorial censorship rampages.

u/ShredTheFed contributed to this sub frequently. I think he was a real person with real thoughts and feelings.

Having devs finding their own funding solutions by donation and/or services keeps things honest and open I think. If it all goes to one gatekeeper client they can just edge out anyone they don't like and fund the ones they do, centralizing the ecosystem and mining basically returning us to the Blockstream problem full circle."

But in u/BitcoinXio's own words, he doesn't care, and he made sure that "most" of the people banned was mostly for spam.

"Most of these were spamming, which I had enough of yesterday/today and banned the ones doing the most spamming."

Really this is pathetic imo. u/BitcoinXio is killing off new sub members and trying to turn r/btc into a popularity circlejerk.

Again, im sorry this happened to you u/ShredTheFed. I hope you will be allowed to contribute your thoughts and feelings to Bitcoin Cash again someday, because they DO matter, and your feelings ARE valid.

If its any consolation, If i am banned for this highly mod-incriminating post, I did it for you. I might not agree with your opinion, but I WILL die fighting for your right to express it.
