Similar to how r/EconMonitor runs their community, I will being doing same with r/CryptoMonitor in the coming weeks. Given crypto's recent uptick in popularity, the regulatory environment is becoming much more complex. Meanwhile, finding information, from those different agencies overseeing the space, is oftentimes difficult and chaotic. People need a place where they can get unbiased information about the regulatory environment surrounding the space.
Posts within r/CryptoMonitor should take less than 5 minutes to read, and will contain only the summarized and important professional commentary from the source specified and linked therein (absolutely no opinion or interpretation in the posts). The sources must be from either a major financial institution or the government (unfortunate as it relates to crypto, I know). But the goal here is to stay away from speculation, opinion, and clickbait. It’s hard enough learning the past, very difficult keeping up in the present, and impossible to predict the future. The community's end goal is to be informative in the most concise way possible so people can follow legislation real-time. (Most importantly, should there be any sly legislation proposed, cryptocurrency users are updated and informed.) Interaction will be moderated, but the community will be open to thoughtful discussion to help clarify the posts. (To see the formatting of an ideal post, please see this post from r/EconMonitor.) Please let me know if you would be interested.
