What are some thoughts about the benefit vs negative aspects of using celebrity "spokespersons" (at best, maybe "shills" at worse) or commercial scripted, produced, posts/videos, either obfuscating that or representing themselves or compny?
I am not looking for effects and or theory framed from a PhD of Pychology or anything that deep, because there seems to be conversation everywhere about crypto at those levels which is great for the people who can draw from those conversations, but when I finally outed myself to other people I talk with about crypto they laughed and all also came out in a cathartic bromantic mind-meld and took comfort that we were all frauds, or friends just lying by omission about what we were able to understand, but at least in good company! So What the mambamagamba am I getting at? If we are inclined to believe in one, some, or all of the idea of crypto and willing to take the burden and responsibility of facilitating others how you yourself most likely were, we have to be clear what the effect is of someone like John McAfee and while anyone of us can most likely laugh and discount him as a clown, I don't have to guess at all, because I have witnessed and tried to clear up a lot of what I thought were mostly understandable concerns people suddenly had about crypto after watching some short random YouTube videos of McAfee doing his thing... God bless the old sharleton.
To sum the whole point of this post up in the crunch version: For wealth or publicity and anything between, people with the resources and desire to attach themselves, brand, event,past, etc to Crypto. We can say McAfee wasn't the best for BTC image, and Elon seems to be undecided atm, how do you feel about it? Do we or anyone have the responsibility, according to your own relationship with the truth,, to try to repair false claims or lies made which could be seen by millions of people? Or do we ignore it, laugh it off and lose a little bit more of our spine every time it seems like too much work to support something you believe in?
