Correct me if I'm wrong, but by now, I think two things have become abundantly clear:
- Bitcoin (BTC) has virtually zero use cases, because of sluggish transaction times and high fees
- The narrative on Bitcoin (BTC) has now almost exclusively become "Buy bitcoin unless you want to stay poor, haha lol, you fiat money noob". No one talks about utility, function, value, etc. anymore.
Given the unfolding situation (and I know it can continue to unfold for years), I have two questions:
- When (if ever) will the BTC developer community realize that they were wrong about the block size? When (if ever) will they realize they've screwed the currency, and made it virtually useless?
- If that realization ever happens, will they be an "unfork" sort of thing with BCH? Will the two join again, or will they just remain two separate Bitcoins, with the exact same characteristics?
